In the second half of the 19th century, French agronomist Michel Pouget introduced the Malbec grape variety to the province. The destiny and fundamentally the soil of Mendoza made that strain become the flagship brand of Argentine wines and the key driver for the development of viticulture in our country.
This iconic event, together with other outstanding events that marked the history of wine in Argentina, are exhibited in a dynamic, interactive and educational way at the Cité du Vin, one of the most prestigious museums in the world in terms of wines, in the city from Bordeaux, France. The work, called “Argentina, lands of contrasts”, can be seen in the temporary exhibition hall, until November 17.
