7 Day Winery Tour
Our 7 day Mendoza Wine and Culture experience combines the best wineries with the cultural highlights of Mendoza.
This is a great way to mix some city, culture, vineyards, mountains, horses and the best food and wine this region has to offer.

A wine and culture week in Argentina would not be complete without spending a day in a beautiful off-the beaten track Estancia, taking in the wonderful scenery of the Andes and enjoying what it feels like to spend a day as a gaucho.

Day 1: Art and City Tour
Depart Hotel at 09:30 am
We will start the day by driving to see the main monuments and places of historical importance in Mendoza, the main Plaza’s and the famous San Martin Park. We will also point out places of cultural interest that you might want to return to, visit the central market and generally let you get a feel for the city.
After, we will stop for lunch at 'Azafran' one of Mendoza's nicest restaurants with its own ‘wine room’ for a three course food and wine paring lunch.
After coffee we will be on the move again and head off to visit two different artisits in their homes and workshops around the city of Mendoza

Day 2: Lujàn de Cuyo Wine Tour
A fun-filled day with interesting visits to four wineries each with its own individual wine-making style, production size and unique architecture.
Our friendly wine guide will guide you through the day with information on wine appreciation, the Lujàn de Cuyo wine region and Argentina's rich winemaking heritage.
As well as enjoying premium tastings in all the bodegas, we will also take part in different activities and focus on a different aspect of the
world of wine in each one.
Depart Mendoza 08:45
We will start at Clos de Chacras, a small family winery with a rich history dating back to the 1920’s. We will first walk through their winemaking facilities to see the winemaking process from grape to bottle, finishing with a private mini food and wine pairing tasting of their best wines made especially for us at Mendoza Wine Camp. The tasting includes their icon wine Gran Estirpe Blend.
Next stop is Bodega Dante Robino, an argentine owned winery known for their excellent Sparkling wine and red Bonarda wine. We will first visit the old part of their beautiful winery and their sparkling winemaking facilities. We will then head to their private wine tasting room where you will be a winemaker for the morning and try your hand at making your own blend and label. We will then finish off the visit with a tasting of their top wines, including their Gran Dante Bonarda.
Lunch is a relaxed 6 course gourmet food and wine pairing lunch prepared by the locally famous chef Lucas Bustos at Bodega Casarena, where we will taste 6 wines including their top wine Malbec Single Vineyard all with a beautiful view of the Andes as the backdrop.
Lastly we head to Bodega Dos Familias, a small boutique winery owned by an Argentine- family and run by Jose Colombi. As we tour the winery we will taste unfinished wine from the tank and barrel before finish with a private tasting in their small tasting room.
Return to Mendoza city at 17:30
Day 3: Traditional Aconcagua Mountain Tour
Depart Mendoza city 08:30
We will take the road following the Mendoza river up to Potrerillos and stop at Uspallata, a small mountain town for a coffee and mid-morning brunch.
We will continue up to almost the border of Chile to see and take a short walk around Aconcagua National Park the highest peak outside of the Himalayas. We stop for a quick visit at Puente del Inca, returning to Uspallata for a traditional asado lunch.

Day 4: Cheese and Olive Oil in Maipu with lunch at El Enemigo Winery
Depart Mendoza city 09:30 am
We will spend the morning visiting local producers of fresh, organic produce in Maipu, a region famous for its olive oil and small artesanal producers as well as wine. Visits include, a small olive oil factory where we will learn about the production prices as well as tasting different olive oils and a family owned organic goat cheese farm.
Lunch will be a delicious 3 course meal of local fare at the boutique El Enemigo winery in Maipu.
Return to Mendoza around 16:00
Day 5: Uco Valley Wine Tour
Depart Mendoza 08:45
During the day we will visit three modern wineries of varying sizes - ranging from boutique and argentine owned to large foreign investments. We will visit the winemaking facilities, vineyards and enjoy high-end tastings in all the bodegas.
As we sip and swirl our way through the wine tastings and savor some spectacular close-up views of the Andes we will explore why the extreme conditions created by high altitude grape-growing result in truly magnificent wine.
Our last stop is the sub-region of La Consulta where we will have a 5 course gourmet food and wine pairing lunch at the Bodega Fournier. A futuristic Spanish owned winery, O'Fournier boasts some of the most outstanding architecture and best wines of the region. Here we will taste wines from each line, including their famous Tempranillo and their Icon wine A Crux.
Return to Mendoza around 18:00
Day 6: Sparkling Wine and Cooking Class
In the morning we will visit a ‘champañera’ a sparkling wine producing winery. And learn how sparkling wine is made, label and bottle your own wine and finish with a tasting of different 3 different sparkling wines.
We will then move on to learn how to cook the best and most authentic seasonal Argentine food, such as empanadas, chimichurri, and homemade bread. During the day you can choose to get involved in al the cooking or if you don’t feel like it, you can just sip wine and enjoy the view! Everybody is different.
After eating the fruit of your labors we will head back to the hotel for a well-deserved siesta.

Day 7: A Day Horse riding in an Estancia in the Uco Valley
We will depart early in the morning form the city and head towards the foothills of Tupungato to our Estancia. The landscape here will be very different from the Uco Valley of luxurious wineries and vineyards we saw yesterday as our destination lies much further up the foothills with greener lush fields and a close up of the mountains.
Arriving at 10:00 am, we will fist meet our Gaucho guides and have a country breakfast with mate before we greet the horses and saddle up.
During our the two hour ride in this wonderful 900 acre spot of land in the foothills of the Uco Valley, with majestic views of the Andes we will most likely encounter other horses, fowls and cows roaming free, different birds and may even spot a Condor. It is a truly magical place to be in.
After the ride we will head back for a traditional country Asado lunch with wine.

* We also have the option of staying in the Estancia in the Uco Valley on night 6 on the way back from the Uco Valley wine tour. You can then spend the whole day in the Estancia! We will pick you up in the early evening to take you back to the city. Please contact us for more information.
*If you are not keen on Horse riding we can change the Estancia day for Rafting or Trekking.
